Contributing Writer: Colleen Corrigan


Colleen Corrigan, MPH, (she/her) has been a Contributing Writer for Community Commons since fall 2021, sharing her expertise in public health, environmentalism, climate change, nutrition, and EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion). She is passionate about innovative approaches to addressing environmental racism and food insecurity, expanding access to public green space, advocating for paid leave and universal healthcare, and intersectional, human rights-based approaches to advancing health equity.

Colleen earned her Masters of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in global health from University of Southern California. She also holds a B.S. in Human Biology, and a B.A. in Non-Governmental Organizations and Social Change. Colleen has years of experience in environmental health research and was a Randall Lewis Health and Policy Fellow with IP3 and Community Initiatives, the organizations that steward Community Commons, in 2022.

Colleen resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she loves to spend her weekends backpacking, skiing, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors. She is an avid cook and baker, and can almost always be found listening to a podcast.
