This HIA, funded by the California Department of Transportation and written by the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, was done as part of a transportation plan for Treasure Island. The HIA focused on ways that the transportation system could be designed and implemented to maximize opportunities for active modes of transportation—such as walking and cycling—and minimize the risk of injuries.
