This toolkit focuses on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), which are are offered by for-profit companies in which employees own part or all of the business. ESOPs are created through a pension plan with two unique features: most of the employee pension money is invested in the company, and workers can borrow against future corporate earnings to purchase company stock. This toolkit contains an overview, support organizations, models and best practices, research resources, articles and publications, and a toolbox related to ESOPs.
