The objective of this study was to examine the association between firearm involvement during adolescence and subsequent firearm perpetration and ownership in adulthood among youth involved in the juvenile justice system. The findings were that nearly all types of firearm involvement during adolescence were associated with increased odds of using and owning firearms during adulthood.
