Ending Student Criminalization and the School-to-Prison Pipeline

This journal article explores how the presence of law enforcement in schools places students of color at risk of criminalization as well as methods for addressing this problem. Strategies for combatting student criminalization discussed include divesting in school policing and student surveillance, decriminalizing student behavior, developing "Sanctuary School" models, and disarming school personnel, among others.
