ALICE: A Study of Financial Hardship in Louisiana

This report provides a comprehensive look at the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population. ALICE households have incomes above the Federal Poverty Level, but often struggle with meeting many basic needs. This report describes the cost of basic needs in Louisiana (i.e., the ALICE Threshold), the households earning below this amount, and how these households have fared since the Great Recession.
